Independent digital product and experience studio

Start with what you want to accomplish.

You don’t need to arrive with a technical brief. 1011 Studios helps individuals and small businesses work out what they need, consider the options and take an idea through to launch.

Our work

For your business. For everyday life.

Built around your customers.

What you want to offer and what your customers need should inform the same design. We look at your business, your brand and the steps people take to use your product or service.

That work can become a website, mobile application, automation or an experience that connects the technologies you use.

A product of our own

Building Habits

We also develop our own products, from the initial idea through ongoing improvements.

Building Habits is our first: an iPhone app for setting up Habits and recording progress over time.

Working together

You should understand the choices.

We explain the options in terms of what they offer, what they cost and what they ask of you. You can be as involved in the technical decisions as you want to be.

If a request would make the product harder to use or compromise its quality, we’ll explain why and suggest an alternative. Scope, time and budget are part of that conversation.

  1. Begin with a conversation. We ask about your business, your customers and what you want to change. Then we research approaches before recommending technology.
  2. Try the idea before committing.Design concepts and, where useful, prototypes give you something to respond to. Your feedback helps establish the scope, cost and delivery plan.
  3. Carry it through to launch. We build and test the agreed design, keeping you involved as it develops. Maintenance and improvements after launch can be arranged around the product and your needs.

About 1011 Studios

How it looks and how it works belong together.

The studio’s perspective comes from a founder who began working in technology in 1993 and studied marketing. Experience across websites, business applications and mobile products informs how we approach each project.

We care about the details people encounter: the words, the layout, the next tap. Our aim is software that looks considered, asks less of its users and is a pleasure to return to.
